First Time New-Moms

Square One

Rest and wisdom for new mothers

The first few months with a new baby are full of challenges and conflicting counsel. For many women it is a season of fatique, frustration, and isolation. This is where Square One steps in. Square One offers biblical encouragement and support as women begin motherhood. Every week, women walk through topics including: wisdom, identity, stewardship, marriage, family, and personal growth. They discuss life and scripture. Square One creates an environment of authenticity and women realize they are not alone. This allows for connection unique to this phase of life. Square One is a perfect start for churches lacking community specific to new mothers, and is an easy place to invite new moms from the outside of the church.

"Women are inundated with information on baby care, books on parenting and a lot of secular advice. What’s missing is God’s Word and community with other believers. New moms need to be reminded that the Lord is with them, and He provides the wisdom necessary to raise a child. That’s what women find when they build community with other moms in the same season of life."

"The hour in our small group has been absolutely priceless. That little time each week has helped change my entire outlook on being a mom. Having a room full of moms that "get it" has given me so much hope."

"I'm just glad to know that there are people in my boat sailing along with me and that there are women who love the Lord, listen to his calling and are there to help people like me when my boat gets tipsy."
