• Social media itself isn't a problem. We, in our sin, are the problem.
• If you are not tempted to compare yourself to others on social media, chances are you will find ways to do that outside of social media.
• Social media is just as much an opportunity for faithfulness as it is an opportunity to get lost.
• We are always looking for ways to measure up. We need to make faithfulness our metric for success, both on social media and outside of it.
• God doesn't need us to have an online platform so people can hear about him.
• Clothe yourself in humility when receiving feedback. Whatever you hear, filter it through Scripture and ask the Spirit if that feedback is true.
• Don't let the self-righteous bind you with their legalism.
• As a leader in the church, remember that what you do online is going to influence people's opinion of Jesus. You should conduct yourself with compassion as an ambassador.
• You are not going to sleep any better or find more joy if you hit a certain amount of followers. You just won't.
• Something that thinks about itself all the time is usually injured or broken. If you are thinking about social media all the time, you may need to assess if there is hurt in your life.
