Episode Highlights

Here are 6 ideas to consider when looking at how you choose to communicate:
1. Properly define the problem. The problems you face with communication are not your audience’s fault. You have to assume that you are the problem. In order to grow as a communicator, you need to understand that clarity is costly and requires hard work on your part. Be humble and take responsibility for becoming a better communicator.
2. Become listener focused. Be empathic towards the process of listening as it can be exhausting. Try to put yourself in the shoes of your listener. When crafting communication, make choices that will help the listener stay engaged.
